The magnificent taonga came with immense mana, felt everywhere the taonga travelled during its time with us.
As caretakers of the award, it was our privilege to share Kōmata o Te Rangi with all our people in the alliance, and we hold on to the mauri-ora this gift brought to Piritahi.
This year's winner is the SH10 Culvert Replacement Project in Northland. Congratulations to Waka Kotahi, WSP, and Fulton Hogan, as well as kaitiaki, community, and iwi involved in the restoration project. IPWEA has told us that the tradition we established will be continued, as the new winners take Kōmata o Te Rangi on a road trip around their offices and marae.
