The Mangere Development means that many older state houses are making way for 10,000 new homes, bringing a fresh vibe to whole neighbourhoods and providing more high-quality homes. The Aorere neighbourhood sits between Mangere East and Papatoetoe. The work in Aorere will contribute to the new terraced and apartment homes being created for the community. These new homes are a mix of state, market and more affordable homes that are warmer, drier and healthier.
